GD diagnosis

I've just been diagnosed with GD but don't have an appointment to discuss it for 2 weeks, I'm completely lost as to what to do in the meantime. I feel so overwhelmed with it all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Disbelief at positive GD result

Found out today I have GD and I’m completely shocked as I feel like I eat a balanced diet and I go for walks with my toddler regularly. Has anyone else experienced this? I do love my sugary snacks but I’m very mindful of how much I eat 😥

T1D Toddler

Does anyone here have a T1D child or experience with one?? I tend to find that people without direct experience with Type 1 Diabetes in children can try to understand, but it’s nearly impossible. Referral

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has had a referral letter for a specialist unit but hasn’t been told anything for it? I had a letter through for a specialised haematologist appointment but no one has mentioned anything to me regarding this or why I would even need one! Thanks😊

I’m beginning to...

I’m 28 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I did the 2 hour glucose test and had a call that I have GD. I’m absolutely overwhelmed. I thought I’d be okay with diagnosis, but after reading about complications and risks to baby and myself I’m terrified. I can’t stop crying and worrying. I know a few friends that h...

Type 2 Diabeties - Never Full

I am struggling to keep my numbers on target and I am ALWAYS hungry scared to eat anything. It seems that everything fruits, veggies, cheese spikes my sugar. I’m currently on metformin but now my doctors are suggesting insulin. Not sure what to do as I'm always hungry and can't get enough to eat. 🥲
