Is there any progress on us getting 15 hours free childcare like the rest of the uk from 9 months?

Its quickly creeping up and I'm not sure about the process of applying for schools. Also do the schools typically do open days as I've not seen anything about them for primary other than secondary schools. Is it a case of ringing and asking for a look around one random midweek day? Thanks
