Hi mamas! I am embarking on a new career path one year postpartum. But before i pay to get certified I wanted to know the general consensus of doulas in the UK as I’m originally not from here. Is it a service that people look to?

Does anyone work as a midwife or as clerical for midwives? I am pregnant after miscarriage without a period. I am 6 weeks, I rang the community midwives and was told to wait two months before ringing to register my pregnancy. It’s in the rules she said. I’d just like to know if this a known thing?

Sometimes you will go to the hospital for pain right and they send you home. But this girl I know literally was in pain got sent home was with bad pain all night long had to go back in the morning and baby was born right away. Like sometimes I don’t understand why get sent home but literally is in labor 😩sometimes…

Anyone who has been on UC… have you had to go to a “further evidence appointment” when changing your claim and adding another child? It just says to bring birth certificate etc. what do they ask at the appointment? What am I to expect? Normally I do all this stuff in the journal so thought it was odd?
