Help with rules/guidelines

Does anyone work as a midwife or as clerical for midwives? I am pregnant after miscarriage without a period. I am 6 weeks, I rang the community midwives and was told to wait two months before ringing to register my pregnancy. It’s in the rules she said. I’d just like to know if this a known thing?

I registered my pregnancy at 4 weeks as soon as I found out and then had an appointment at 9 weeks for my history and everything x

I’ve tried. They said they couldn’t know it was a new pregnancy. I’ve been to the doctor, I’ve got a private scan soon and I’ve sent an email asking what else I can do to be registered.

I rang the EPU at 3 weeks and waited til 5 to ring community midwives as advised. I’m now 6 and I just feel lost.

I am in this exact same scenario, I had a baby in May, then I had a period in June then tested as I had no period in July and had several positive pregnancy tests. I booked in to the GP so they could refer me to a midwife. On August 3rd I started bleeding and when I explained my symptoms to the midwife she said it sounded like a miscarriage and to call if I started feeling ill or got a temperature. I still didn’t have a period by September so tested again and I’ve literally had like 20 positive pregnancy tests, idk what the hell is going on and if I’m still pregnant from June or got pregnant immediately after the miscarriage but my midwife won’t send me for a scan for another 5 weeks even though I could be anywhere between 6-7 weeks or 3 months pregnant, I’m booked in for a private scan tomorrow as I can’t wait any longer to know what the hell is going on

@Artemis let us know how you go on! It sucks to fight to even register a pregnancy. It’s giving me more anxiety than anything.

So it’s a single pregnancy, looks like I conceived in August so the due date is in May, heartbeat was strong and everything looked good and as it should be and I’m about 7 weeks which means I did miscarry the previous pregnancy, they think it was a chemical pregnancy but hopefully everything goes fine with this one and this will be our last baby. I’ve done a sneak peek gender test which was sent off today, if it’s a boy I already have two so I have everything I need still but if it’s a girl I’m going to have a lot to buy 😅 hopefully yours gets sorted soon and everything goes well for you xx

@Artemis congratulations (: I hope you have a healthy pregnancy and it all goes great xo

So I finally had an email from the matron this week after a complaint email. Then a phone call from the staff member who wouldn’t book me in. She’s given me my initial midwife appointment at 12 weeks and put the date down wrong. I’ve had a private scan to confirm new pregnancy. But atleast I’m registered.
