Antenatal appointment

Mines today too, they'll do a wee sample, talk over any blood results with you, check how your feeling etc, ask about movements and book your 20 week scan

They also will do doppler on the belly make sure to record it so you can listen back 💕xx

@Jess they don’t always do a Doppler some midwives don’t like doing it this early as sometimes they can’t always find the heartbeat

@Natalya oh that’s interesting to know xx ive had it with both so assumed it was standard 💕xx

Had mine last week no doppler, they didn’t do it with my last pregnancy at all either

@Jess think it just depends on what midwife you get. I got offered with my little boy she said there’s no guarantee that I would hear it and I have the same midwife this time around but my appointment isn’t till next week xx

Mine is tomorrow and I’m also 16weeks and 2 days! hope you get to hear heartbeat. I did with my first, can depend on midwife x

Are you going to your health centre / hospital or is it a home visit? My midwife is booked in for 2nd week of August but she insisted she comes to my house. Is this normal ? X
