Cheese

Iā€™m not 100% sure as Iā€™ve had a Google and Iā€™m getting told loads of different things šŸ˜‚ Can I give my 6 month old soft cheese? Like Philadelphia? The nhs website says to avoid it because of listeria but I swear pasteurised soft cheese is safe from that?

Baby rice

Hi, My baby is 12 weeks and he's always hungry. He's breastfed and sometimes we use formula to top up when we're on the go. I was wondering if it would be okay to start giving baby rice before 4 months? I was thinking to start 3.5 months , but did anyone give their babies baby rice before 4 months?

Ideas for transition from puree to real food

I really wanna start giving my son real meals but idk where to start. I've cut up some spaghetti really fine and he did really good with it but I have no idea what other foods can be similar to help transition. Not foods you just hand them and let them gnaw on but actual meals

7 month old eating a lot

My 7 month old is eating upwards of 48 oz a day on top of baby cereal in the morning and purĆ©e in the evening. I feel like Iā€™m overfeeding him but he is always interested. He will never turn away and cries if I cut off his bottle early/give less. Is this weird to anyone else?

Rice cereal

So my little girlā€™s Dr told us we could start her on rice cereal at 5 months old but I keep seeing negative stuff about rice cereal. Would using an oat based cereal be fine? Just a bit concerned šŸ„¹ due to the levels of arsenic in rice cereal.

Anyone experience their babyā€™s getting a hive/hives after trying new food?

My daughter will be 6 months on 10/12 and we were given the go ahead to start solids at 4-months. Didnā€™t really jump in until about 5 months. But very slowly. She tried mango a few weeks back and broke out in a few hives on her face and they went away within an hour or so. Today we tried apple for the first time...

Just a rant ... I'm fed up

So ... my 8 month old eats anything, can feed herself and is super independent. Also she's got crazy cute hair (that is a nightmare to manage as it reaches almost in her mouth). I go out with people and it's easy to feed her and I get compliments ... but than when it's and opportunity for her to explore a new tast...

Feeding baby#2

With my first son we would just load a spoon and let him feed himself and we started this as soon as he started eating (approx 5 months). As a result he started scooping his food just before 7 months. I thought this was pretty cool but then I saw things that sounded like you shouldn't give your child a spoon til th...

Meal time

My daughter just turned one and has become extremely difficult during most meal times (not breakfast). She will be eating her food happily until she sees me eating which makes her then start to make monkey noises until I give her some or start hysterically crying if I do not. I am so done. We are eating the exact sa...
