Has anyone in the UK been refused a nursery place for their child because of their additional needs? I thought they weren’t allowed to discriminate against any child. Am genuinely shocked and feel very sad for my little one

My little girl is moving up to a different room at nursery next week, I’ve left it late but what sort of gift do you get for nursery workers? I'm told that you have to find a nursery very quickly if you want a place at a good one. I'm late stage of pregnancy and baby will need to go nursery at 10 months or child minder but I don't know where I'd start with finding one. When did you sort child care arrangements? X
