How’s everyone surviving on stat maternity pay. Just had my first wage of only stat pay and I’m not ok 😂😂 knew it was coming but it is literally buttons !! Cannot believe women are expected to live off of this while raising a family.

Do I have any? My employer apparently only pays you for the hours work and not the whole day. Is that allowed? I’m not paid hourly I have an annual salary so it seems a bit weird. Also, I think they dismiss you so how is that my fault? If they tell me to go home early then why am I losing out on pay?

Is it better to leave it as the standard way they pay you or does it work out better to ask for your maternity leave to be evenly spread out? Which way works out better? Is it better tax wise if it’s spread out over the year?
