Anyone have gestational diabetes and struggling every single day with dieting meanwhile you’re hungry 24/7

Hi all, I got a phone call last Monday to say I had GD, and have an antenatal appointment booked in for Tuesday at the hospital. I thought she said on the phone that the diabetes clinic and dietician would be in touch but I’ve heard nothing, just wondered how and when your first appointments around all this happened...
