For anyone using the governments new free childcare scheme, does this cover the registration fee you have to pay for nurseries? I was so shocked a nursery requested £200 to complete my registration for the waiting list!!

I am a teacher and send my daughter to an in home daycare that only takes teachers’ kids. They have changed their policies and want us to pay 50% for days the school is closed, such as winter break, is this typical for other daycares?

Hey, as our babies are starting school next September, are you bringing them along to school tours? I’m not sure to keep him in nursery on the days I have the tours or to bring him with me! Not sure if he’ll be a distraction or if it’ll be good to gauge his reaction to the schools.

Is anyone else feeling really nervous about sending their kids to daycare? I'm a first-time mom and I currently don’t have a support system or anyone to help watch my child at all. Obviously, I need to work. I work part-time but I need to start working full-time.

Can anyone help me please? I have found a nursery I want my 3 year old to attend. They have sent some information which includes a table of fees with ‘funded’ and ‘non funded’ prices. Do I still have to pay some fees even if I want her just to have the 15 hours she is entitled to?
