You have this only if you’re on universal credit. Apply online

Through UC? You pay it, upload the required evidence then they'll pay it back in your next payment

@Charlotte I am on UC. But I can’t figure out how to apply

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/universal-credit-childcare-costs

Apply online through that site, but you have to be working in order to receive that x

You have to apply as a change in UC, then select Childcare, they will then ask you to click on the steps to upload details of your provider, then upload the invoice, and they may ask for evidence like your provider agreement etc. they may choose to pay depending on the level of your income. My partner is self employed and plus my income last month was over the threshold and I didn't get any money back...it sort of works out that way based on income etc whatever your circs are, so it may or may not be guaranteed payment and they pay I think on the day they usually pay you. It's so complicated!

Report childcare costs on the UC page you’ll have to add your provider first then the payment and dates it covers then you’ll have to upload proof Of payment and also your invoice, also remember you will only get childcare that is covered during your assessment period the rest would be on your next payment
