C section infection

Anybody else have a c section infection? Wound have reopened around 2 weeks, had one week of antibiotics and regular dressing by GP nurse. Not really any improvement so now on day 5 of another week of antibiotics, told not to shower so no moisture is introduced, was hoping I'd see improvement but tonight have noticed the dressing has weeping underneath so feel like no progress is being made. Anyone else in the same position? Any tips!? Really fed up, trying to rest as much as I can but also keen to get out more now.

My wound opened up, I’m on antibiotics. I have been having warm baths and that seems to be helping the process. My scar has opened up so now got a hole. Doctors just said I was ok to get it wet as long as I dried it properly. hope This helps x

I had this. Try and dry it out with the hairdryer on cool and low, it really helps x

I’ve just come back out of hospital after being put on IV drips because I had 4 courses of antibiotics and the infection would not go. I’d definitely recommend keeping it clean though. Just let the water run over it and make sure you dab it dry (i use cotton pads when i’m out the shower) then put a fan on it or the hairdryer on cool. If the infection continues don’t let them fob you off with antibiotics that’s all they did for me and i’m 6 weeks pp with an open scar and only just barely healing 🫶🏻🫶🏻

So they've been keeping my wound dressed so no air is getting to it. I worry this means it isn't able to heal properly? It seems yours have all been left without dressing on! Sorry to hear you've all also had a rough time with healing but nice to not be alone in it, it's really frustrating
