Hi ladies, please don't judge. I'm curious about another stream of income that won't take me too far out of my comfort zone. Im a first-time mom and I'm going back to school part-time. Why does the phrase "we have no money" go into one of my partner's ears and come out the other?

Earlier on in the day he was asking me for crisps and coke and I was like 'am I supposed to pay for this with my arm or something?' Now he's asking for £30 for a GAME 😱 He's asked his mum for £80 for shopping and that game, but she hasn't paid him yet so he's asking me to charge it to my phone bill so he can get…

Sure Start maternity grant

Has anyone successfully received this? I’m not on any benefits but I am currently receiving maternity allowance as not getting paid by employer. It’s not clear if you can claim this just on maternity allowance or if you need to be claiming other benefits as well. Doesn’t seem fair in my opinion 🤔
