Why does the phrase "we have no money" go into one of my partner's ears and come out the other?

Earlier on in the day he was asking me for crisps and coke and I was like 'am I supposed to pay for this with my arm or something?' Now he's asking for £30 for a GAME 😱 He's asked his mum for £80 for shopping and that game, but she hasn't paid him yet so he's asking me to charge it to my phone bill so he can get the game right this second rather than wait. I'd much rather spend the full £80 on FOOD, and if not, I'd rather just owe his mum £50 instead of £80. Like it's just crazy that he does not understand, he's in huge debt and he's spending money on games. It absolutely BAFFLES me 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

I think you should just say no. And if he doesn’t buy food because of that then im not sure but thats another issue if hes willing to not make sure yall eat over a game.

Had to read it twice I thought you were talking about one of your kids 🤣. Girl I'm sorry that man needs to grow tf up and realize that his family needs to eat. He can save up his money for the game food comes first. Games are a luxury food is need for survival.

My 25 year old partner is the same he doesn’t know the prices of the things these days because he doesn’t leave the house to go to the shops etc his an outdoors man. His recent ask is a $2,800 snake

Taking note we already have 7! All of these I have paid for because after weeks of saying no (his autistic) he some how convinces me.

@Muzna there all in one room at the moment. I had one albino Darwin carpet Python named Medusa who is a boy ironically. He then got one and now some how I ended up buying him 5 more forgetting that small snakes get big 🤣 I’m also the builder in this family so I’ve built him a duck pen for his pet duck and will probably build all the big snake enclosures because tanks are expensive. I love all our snakes and definitely couldn’t give them up but easiest animals to care for you don’t feed them every day, there tanks don’t get that dirty, their quiet, and quite cuddly when handled regularly but some can be bitey but if you know your snakes you won’t get bitten.
