What do about toddler refusing nap

My son will be 2.5 in December but the last week he is having trouble napping. However if he gets a short nap in (30min ish) he is a terror the rest of the day. He used to sleep 1-2 hours and would be in a such a good mood. Now these short naps or just pretending to sleep for the nap time (i have a 7 month old as well who naps at this time) are making him just a grouch. Do I just drop the nap and have him cranky? How long does it take for them to adjust? Did you all just move up bedtime? Currently bedtime is around 730p-8p.

Hi hi hi ! Just went through this with my baby who’s the same age a couple months ago. He just went through a stage. He never cried. Just sat there. Laying there🤣 eventually I started figuring out if he was up fiddling with his stuffies… if I knocked on the wall ( we share a wall) 1..2..3..4 he would roll over and pass out. I currently still do it occasionally when I’ve had enough 🤣

Honestly I would move up bedtime and call the naps done for. Both of my kiddos dropped naps at about two it’s normal! :)

It may take a bit for him to adjust but it’s developmentally normal for them to decide not to nap anymore or for very long at this age

We do both. Some days there’s a nap and some days there’s early bedtime.
