C-Section

Hi everyone, im currently 5 weeks postpartum recovering from a C - Section and I still have lots of numbness in my lower belly. Has anybody else experienced this and if so how long does the numbness last. This was my first pregnancy and never experienced any type of surgery before 🤍

Hi, I had my first c section and surgery in April and still have numbness across my lower belly. I think it’s nerve damage and so can be permanent but not 100% xx

Yup i am 9 weeks pp and it still doesnt feel quite right although a lot better than before.

Yes it can stay numb, completely normal. I had a c section last April and pretty sure parts still numb.

I had my first baby in 2021 and still have numbness in the area around my scar from the c-section. Can feel slightly but not like I used to before

I’m the same as you but not numbness, the scar is feeling really sore and more so than a couple of weeks ago. Think sometimes it gets worse first before it gets better. Hopefully in a couple of weeks it’ll feel better x

I'm 9 days postpartum from 2nd c section, mine is very numb too but apparently completely normal. I had my first section almost 10 years ago and it was the same then but some did come back.

@Laura My scar also gets sore sometimes. The lining of my underwear sometimes irritates it I think so I’ve been trying to wear loose jogging bottoms and leggings. It seems to have helped! X

I had a cesarean 2 years ago and it lasted for at least 6 months. It eventually came back. When you’re ready, there are massages and techniques you can do to help the scar tissue. Just have a look online x

@Kristen Thank you for the advice Kristen. How long postpartum did you wait before you started the different massage techniques? x

I’m 6 weeks post C Section and it’s still numb. I had a boob job 12 years ago and the scar area is still numb. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest but sometimes it always stays numb x
