Is it me?

My LO is 5 and a half weeks and has never slept longer than 2.5 hours at a time. All I read about is other people whose babies sleep for 4+hours at night! My baby has never done this and at the moment the longest she has ever done is 2hrs 45 mins (which is VERY RARE) I am breastfeeding - is this maybe a sign she isn’t getting enough milk? Last night was every hour and a half at the longest 😩😩😩 Any advice/tips/reassurance/thoughts would be great!

My baby is similar, it's really tough. I spoke to the health visitor who advised that frequent wake ups at this age aren't uncommon and can be about development stage, as long as they are gaining weight and have enough wet and dirty nappies. She also said they tend to wake up less frequently around 12 weeks once they know the difference between night and day.

No, it’s normal!! We are the same and my first was even worse, 40 mins max

I feel you, I’m in the exact same boat, my wee boy is 5.5 weeks too. Got 3 hours sleep the past 2 nights 🫠 Hopefully our wee ones sleep a little longer soon 🤞🏻

Nope it's not you! And I've spoken to formula feeding mummies whose babies are the same - I think it's the first thing we think of when breastfeeding x

This is normal. The only sure way to tell if she isn’t getting enough milk is if she isn’t gaining weight.

Oh and not enough wet or dirty nappies.

Definitely not you! My first son was sleeping 4+ hours at this age with mixed feeding and my youngest is only sleeping 2-3 hours purely formula fed! I think all babies are just different as I’m doing exactly the same things

Normal and definitely not to do with your milk 🥰 my babies have been total guzzlers too! If they are gaining weight then just carry on being brilliant!
