So upset to have my second c section 🥲my first was an emergency due to failed induction so i didnt even dilate. It was rough but i always had my mind set on a vbac for the next. I laboured to 9cm but in an unfair turn of events, my son had pooed and they just couldnt risk waiting any longer (up until this point they had predicted i woild have had him within the hr as i was progressing so well). I think the disappointment plus the fact i laboured so far has contributed to the difficult recovery cos i am in agony honestly. Hope u and bby are doing ok x

My recovery has been a lot slower second time around. I’m 12 days after my second C section and haven’t been able to go out for a walk yet - after my first I think I went for my first short walk after a week. Have major cabin fever but still struggling to walk properly and have quite a bit of discomfort / pain. Hopefully it gets better for us all soon! X

I had my second c section 20 days ago and found it easier than the first. I went for a walk on day 3, after day 5 I stopped taking the medication, and the pain started to ease off. Now nearly 3 weeks I feel so much better and have been going on walks nearly daily. My first was an emergency after a failed induction, so felt that I was pumped with so many drugs, due to my waters breaking. This time the planned section was smooth and I had minimal drugs just the necessary

@Tahirah sorry to hear and wishing you a speedy recovery xx

@Alex have you gone to your GP to get stronger pain killers. My GP gave me some and it works when taken correctly. I am 7 days post op my first was an unplanned section and this birth was a planned but the pain is unbearable. I can’t afford to allow my pain killers to wear off I always have to top up on time which is tough because of the LO and my toddler. Wishing you a speedy recovery xx

@Carmela so happy for you. I can’t wait to get to this stage of the recovery for myself. Congratulations on your new bundle of joy ❤️
