11 months PP and pregnant again

Im pregnant again & although I’m happy, I didn’t anticipate it this soon. Of course, these are the consequences of my own actions & it’s a consequence I’m happy about, but I’m also so very frightened. When I told my husband, he was over the moon & bought me flowers, cooked my favourite meal and told me to go do something fun for myself. Now I’m putting my baby to sleep and realising, that if everything goes well, in 9 months I’ll be not only having 2 under 2, but also potentially another c-section. Did any of you have a 19/20 month gap between your section and VBAC? I’d be grateful to hear some positive stories. Thank you!

Right here!! I just had successful vbac and my boys are 19 months apart!! I truly did not think I was going to be able to ever have a vaginal birth. My first was failure to progress after 40 hours of labor, big baby even for gestation (9 pounds), and I’m “smaller” (5’4” and 115 pounds prior to pregnancy) so I was told I had a 33% chance. This time around my labor was 9 hours, spontaneous onset, no pitocin, pushed for three hours and baby was “bigger” but not as big as my first boy. (8.6 pounds). What I think truly helped me—finding a good mindset with both outcomes, praying, youtube prenatal yoga, chiropractic care, walking, resting, listening to your body, don’t compare yourself, try the dates, pineapple, raspberry leaf tea if you want too, and know that your body is amazing and trustworthy regardless of how birth goes.

You’re literally a godsend. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story with me. This gives me hope! Will definitely follow everything.
