Sleep

Is anyone’s baby sleeping through the night? My little girl would happily sleep through the night if we allowed her but I’m conscious on her weight so we’re still feeding her every 4-5 hours in the night as I’m not sure if I can leave her to sleep

My 6 week old is sleeping through from 10-7 she’s gaining weight so I don’t think I need to wake her I’m sure as long as they are doing wet and dirty nappy’s and having enough in the day it’s fine

Mines 6 weeks and I leave him asleep for as long as he wants and only feeds him when he wants it. As long as they weren't a premature baby, surpass there birth wait and it's getting about 23oz a day you can leave them at night to sleep x

Teach me your ways 😂 my little one is up every 2.5/3 hours feeling hungry but I can’t get him to take a bigger bottle rn. I’m of the belief that if they’re hungry they’ll wake up and let you know. But what do I know I’ve only been a mum 5 weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

@Rachel your smashing it and I’m sure you will have times where your little one sleeps through even though it’s hard right now what did it for me was a 2.5 tog sleep suit best thing ever

@Rachel mine as only been sleeping 5-6hpur stretches for the last few days. Wait till they hit 6 weeks should improve a bit

@Amy are you breastfeeding or formula?

@Elizabeth formula

I’m scared to let my LO sleep through the night because of SIDS, he’s 5 weeks on Tuesday, is it okay to let him sleep through?

@Claire my baby girl slept from 8 PM until 6 AM the other day and she’s okay, I haven’t allowed to her to sleep through the night since because I feel like that’s to long without having a feed I think it really just comes down to if your baby is hungry and what you’re comfortable with, I’m not entirely sure hence I come here for advice :)

Tbf my baby’s not got to the stage of sleeping through yet he’s still waking up for feeds every 3/4 hours but the thought of him sleeping longer scares me still

The advice I have been given from midwife and health Visitor is let them sleep and don't wake them. If they are gaining weight and having wet and dirty nappies then let them sleep and feed them when they wake up. If they were hungry they would wake up and let you know
