Bath/nappy change screaming baby

How’s the temperature in the room? Maybe he’s cold?

Same here! He screams the house down and I feel awful doing it even though it has to be done😢❤️

My little one was exactly like that at 4 weeks old, would cry the house down until it was over. However when we got to around 6/7 weeks he just stopped doing that and went the complete opposite and is now the calmest little chappy, even smiles when changing him sometimes.

My little girl hated the bath so I started putting a muslin over in the bath she loves it now x

I always use a sponge and a wash cloth, the wash cloth I pop over my little ones tummy and we regularly pour water over the flannel to keep her warm and she loves it. After bath, I wrap her in one towel and dry her off with it and then have another towel ready on her changing mat whilst she's getting dressed and moisturised so she isn't getting cold from a damp towel! Xx

Same here, we found the only way for him to stay quiet is to be semi fed first. If we change nappy first thing after he wakes up he will scream his lungs out. We also try giving him a pacifier while doing it to calm him down but this only helps half the time.

Following as my little one hates the bath. He enjoyed his first ever bath but every one since he gets beside himself crying. I can’t cope with it so top and tailing unless he really needs a bath

We upped the temperature of the bath by a degree and that helped, if in doubt I take a bottle too and feed him in the bath enough for a bit of comfort which helps. He actually enjoys it once he calms down from the initial shock. Also constantly pour more water over his body to help keep his temp from dropping x

My baby is 4 weeks old and has screamed the house down at every single nappy change since day one. Apparently they grow out of it, I’m hoping so 🤣

When you bath him put a warm wet facecloth over his belly and legs. Helps my little girl settle and I just keep pouring water over it was I bath her to keep her warm. X

My little girl is the same, I make sure she is well fed before hand and that usually soothes her okay. Sometimes I feed her mid change if she’s really kicking off
