Breastfeeding to go sleep

Those mums who breastfed your babies to sleep at night how did you manage to stop and how long did it take for your little one to get used to it.

I stopped once I started really sleep training. It only took a couple days for him to get used to it.

@Domonique did you give him a bottle instead or just put him to bed

I waited for her to grow out of it herself, she stopped falling asleep on the boob around 2.5 years old.

@Lisa hey Lisa! Do you mind me asking how she started falling asleep when she was ready to stop feeding to sleep? @Viki sorry to jump in on your post x

@Viki I just started putting him to bed. I would still nurse right before but I would make sure he was awake when I put him in his crib.

I just put her down before she falls asleep and she chats to herself happily for ten mins then drifts off. My first was the same too

I let my eldest naturally wean, by following the don’t offer approach only when asked. She just turned three when she naturally stopped nursing to sleep and I’m so glad my journey was this, we didn’t need to sleep train. What do you think is right for you? Do you want to wean or feel pressured to ? Xxx
