Getting induced

Hey, I’m getting induced on Wednesday at 37+6 due to my heart rate increasing significantly since having diabetes and was looking for some encouragement and advice ? Has anyone here been induced and if so how was rhe process, should I bring anything extra with me to hospital?

When I was induced it really was not fun… I was there for 5 days. Plan on bringing enough comfy clothes for before and after labor and lots of snacks! Maybe something to watch movies on or a book or whatever you use to distract yourself. You may only be there a couple days but plan ahead!

I was induced because labour wasn’t progressing 12 hours after my water broke slightly. Just take it SLOW with the pitocin. The contractions can be much stronger because of being medically induced contractions so just go slow and let your body do its thing. Your body will likely take over in active labour so make sure you reduce or eliminate the pitocin slowly at that point if you want less strong contractions and less strain on baby. My induction took 8 total hours from the time medication was administered

I was induced as well because my little girl wasnt moving much and felt i had little fluid but for me was fairly similar happened fairly well they induced me around 5pm mid way into the morning they refilled the ballon by 5 my water had already been broken i was in active labor and the ballon fell out and i was ready to push and my little one was here

My induction was relatively quick, but I think I might have been an outlier. Definitely bring things to keep you occupied. You don't know how long you will be there.

I was induced for my 2nd due to her being to small. It wasn't fun, the contractions were in my opinion worse then natural contracts. I got induced at 6pm and she was born at 2 am the next day. I most definitely recommend the epidural because personally the pain way way to intense but everyone is different. I hope everything goes good for yall and that you have a quick labor and healthy baby. When the anxiety or stress gets to you just remember that you will soon meet your beautiful baby.
