Timing of induction

St Helier What time did you get called by the team, to give you a time for your induction? I was told to call at 10, but when I called, they said they’ll come me back in an hour. It’s now over 2 hours and I haven’t had a call back? I understand there’s emergencies etc but it’s not nice to be waiting 😭 I’ve waited all this time for spontaneous labour, I would have thought by now I would know what time to come in at least

I had a similar situation, I think I ended up being told to come in for 4pm. Don’t rush going in if it’s very busy, I ended up just hanging around for ages before getting the balloon fitted. + Easier said than done but enjoy your time at home, rest and try to eat. I know I was nervous in the lead up to going in and the extra wait didn’t help but ring them up again and ask how busy it is, bcs being in a room full of people isn’t the most comfortable, St.Heliers has a seperated area in the induction room with some chairs/exercise balls etc but I think there’s 6/8beds in there. (Also its kept at 22°! So dress comfortably for the warmth) Good luck!

@Hannah Awww thank you for this! I called again and they said 6pm 😅 I hope it’s not busy but I feel less anxious now knowing I can just chill and spend time with the family before going in. Thanks for the tips as well 🤩❤️
