Just try to move your body. Go on daily walks, watch things that make you laugh and make you happy to release those hormones and soften the cervix, and I'm sure you've been told this too, but sex helps too since the sperm helps soften the cervix as well.

stay active. walk around a lot, sit on an exercise ball as well. it helps move baby lower to speed up the process. I had my first child in under 3 hours of labour because I stayed active. the balloon only dilates slightly, you have to do the rest aha

Just curious, why so early?

@Tristan might be for an emergency reason. it's not something you ask people.

one thing my doctor told me was eat before you go to the hospital. the balloon will be uncomfortable when they put it in. it’s also a little awkward when you use the bathroom. but for me i didn’t feel the balloon expanding. i was shocked when they pulled it out and it was like three times bigger (probably exaggerating this was july of last year lol) than when they put it in. for me, the whole experience was easy and quick. i went in to the hospital less than 24 hours later my son was born and it took me 30 minutes to push with about 3 hours of active labor. you should also remember no one knows your body more than you. don’t let doctors pressure you or bully you into making a decision you don’t want to do. (i haven’t had this experience but my friends have). good luck to you and i hope you have a safe and easy delivery!
