Anyone else experienced this?

I am currently 6 days post c section with my first baby and I feel vile. My scar hurts a lot (to be expected) I am only able to take paracetamol and ibuprofen due to allergies so I think this is why it hurts so much. I feel like I have a virus, my body is warm but I feel cold, I have a headache, and overall feel really poop. I phoned MAU and they told me there was no major concerning symptoms and to take pain meds, sleep it off, but I wondered if this is a normal stage of c section recovery? Any advice would be amazing! I’m gonna go see my gp on Monday if I still feel this vile x

If you have a temperature then go back To your post natal ward x you should be under them Until The baby is a month old Iv been having issues with my section would it opened a bit kept bleeding out and then I had an infection😵‍💫 so Iv been in and out but I never felt unwell. And they kept asking me if I felt unwell or had a temperature ! So would definitely keep and eye on yourself and go back if symptoms seem concerning! Or even ring on call midwife team… they’ll come out check your observations xx

If your midwife comes round or you go to them you can ask them to check your scar too I went the other day my scar doesn’t hurt but was quite red and she asked the gp to check too and prescribe me some cream that helped!

Hi, I feel exactly the same. I had an emergency c-section 5 days ago and I feel so much worse at home. Not only does my scar ache but my whole body aches all the time like I've got the flu. I'm having to rock myself when I'm awake to get through it. I did/do have an infection in the waters they found when delivering baby so its probably that. I've got antibiotics and codeine from hospital. Then I've been topping up with paracetamol as the pain and aches is just relentless. Seeing our midwife today so will ask her.
