C section scabs won’t fall off?

I’m 4 weeks post-op and my incision still has huge crusty scabs that I’ve had since after the operation. This was my first baby so I’m wondering if this is normal or if anyone else is having the same problem?

It will heal over time . Keep it dry .. what I use to do is when I get out the shower I’ll dry it & put corn starch on it

leave it alone. It will heal friend. It was hard because I’m a picker and you don’t want to reopen by accident. Remember this is nothing normal, they went 7 layers deep. A paper cut practically heals overnight

I had a c section 7weeks ago and mine hasn’t completely gone yet. Majority is off but still have a few bits. I don’t wipe the area, but it does feel a little sore at times if they catch on my knickers

That’s totally normal. That’s why it’s a minimum of 6 weeks for recovery, regardless of how you give birth. I always dabbed my dry when I got out of the shower or made sure to let it air dry and then keep it covered so it doesn’t accidentally get snagged on your pants or anything. I hope you have a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹

Definitely leave it alone it needs to heal. Don’t pick at it. You can wash the area. I had an antibacterial soap I used and everytime I showered which was like everyday I would use the soap and rub down there and just clean it all off.

I’m 12 weeks pp and mine has only just fully cleared up so you’re well on your way to healing ☺️

Try coconut oil to a bit soften works wonders on mine
