C-Section Healing

Can anyone who has had a c-section offer some advice about how long the pain lasts for? I know it will be different for everyone, but a rough ballpark? I currently have pain when bending down or going from sitting to standing & vice versa?

I would say about 2 months

For me, it was very easy and probably no longer than 2 weeks, although everyone is different, and I had to walk over 20,000 steps two days after having mine which I think helped me heal quicker. Please just know that it might take longer and its 7 layers that you're cut through, but it will stop hurting eventually. Keep topped up with paracetamol if it's hurting too much, and be kind to yourself and take breaks when needed x

2.5-3 weeks for the pain to ease and me to be able to do most things and move around freely. I still had some aches for a few more weeks if I worked my muscles more than usual but not pain needing painkillers. But everyone is different as I'm sure you'll find from the answers you'll get here

Around 6 weeks

I found twisting worse than up and down movements but by 10 days / 2 weeks I was 95% back to normal

I am 16 days postpartum today following c-section and I still have a pain here or there but nothing needing pain killers so I think it’s easing!

Around 2 weeks for me to not have pain when bending / turning but my belly is still tender to touch. I have done a lot of walking and I really believe this has helped my recovery! X

I think I was able to stop painkiller near the start of the second week. By week 4 I was able to go to the high street and stuff. I took it super slow and I think this helped

For me it was around 2 weeks after and I wasn't able to actually sleep in a bed for at least 2 months I slept in a recliner. I have a repeat c section Sunday morning

1 full week of painkillers and then weaning on the second week. By one month, I felt comfortable to do most things as before. Two months in now: a bit of tenderness today and a little pinching, though the wound is healed fully from the outside. Still numb at center of incision so sometimes worry that there’s actually more "pain" than I can feel. I can sleep on my stomach now with no issues, though some days are still a little sore even after 8 weeks. I was told that the wound can take a year to heal completely!

For me 2 weeks
