Struggling today

Just a vent to say I’m struggling today, my 5 week old has not let me put her down at all so I’ve barely had 5 minutes to myself. She’s constantly been feeding every hour since last night so my nipples are so sore, I feel drained and touched out. She finally fell asleep and I’ve had to wake her up to do the school pick up. Just had to conceal crying walking up to my daughters school. I’m just exhausted

Bless you it’s really hard and exhausting and you will feel extra emotional being tired. Could you introduce some formula to give your boobs a break and fill baby right up? Xxx

Bless you, it is really tiring and honestly you’re not alone! You’re doing great keep going it’s all worth it in the end. I agree maybe have a think about combi feeding? I used aptamil from birth but ended up switching to kendamil. Feel free to message me and I can give you a step by step on making a bottle if you need it🫶🏻🫶🏻

Perhaps she’s having a growth spurt? They usually have one around week 5/6 I think, my daughter was the same (I ebf) and it settled down after a day or two. As hard as it is it will pass, try to make sure she’s getting a deep latch to stop your nipples getting anymore sore if you can. Also I found silver nipple cups helpful for between feeds when my nipples were sore x

@Portia yes I did think she might be as her naps even on me have been really short. Thank you very much I’ve heard about silver cups but not looked into them so maybe I should x

That’s okay, maybe buy some ready made milk in bottles first and see how your baby gets along with them and if it makes baby sleep a bit more then if it does I’d recommend getting a prep machine xx
