Do anyone's newborns have a tongue tie? Whilst in hospital the tongue tie was pointed out by every health care professional and I was told repeatedly that I would get a "very quick" appointment for my sons tongue tie.

@Annabel 2 weeks is better than having to wait over a month 😔 it's also affecting my babies feeding too and it's like they just don't care
We went private. The wait for us was 5 months! He was 90% tongue tied which feeding was a problem and his speech would have been too!

@Maddy it was £240 but that was back in 2021. If you can afford it, it’s well worth it rather than having to wait. A month is just ridiculous when they are so young. Is your baby putting on weight?
Yes went private but in Leicester - was 200 which was definitely worth every penny in my opinion. I had to wait 2 weeks for appointment then would have been 9-10 week wait apparently. Privately I waited a few days and have had lovely follow up care x
In Northamptonshire it’s 250 private, but she was a lactation consultant she was here for 2 hours, gave us plenty of tips and advice! Worth the money
We our firsts done privately at milk matters in Huddersfield - would recommend. We’ve had our seconds done this time round at 2weeks on the NHS but it needs doing again and have an appointment when she will be 6 weeks. It’s affecting her feeding that we’ve had to introduce formula to help her get enough.
