Possibly, depending on where you have it and how “bad it is” (as in how much you can see, doesn’t mean its not painful for you!). Because its not explorative surgery though, they might not see it because it can be anywhere.

I guess so. They are pretty much in there so should be able to see everything in and around your womb area. I was even told I was hoovered out in theatre so they actively look for debris and other things before resealing xx

They might be able to see it. Definitely a possibility.

Thank you for the comments! I’ve developed horrible pelvic pain for the past year (I’m 2.5yrs PP) I’ve had scans and blood tests, all normal, just waiting for internal scan. Doc said it could be endo, so was just wondering if they would’ve been able to see it during c section? It maybe it developed afterwards? Or maybe it’s adhesions?

They found my endometriosis while it was a diagnostic laparoscopic surgery. All blood tests and scans were normal too! Unfortunately this thing can hide very well. But don’t be discouraged! Stay strong! 💪🏻

Endometriosis can grow on the scar tissue from c sections so it’s possible it developed afterwards! But it could be that it just wasn’t seen, and there are lots of types, some of which a regular obgyn might not recognise as endo x

Can it be diagnosed with a transvaginal? I have a transvaginal coming up x

It’s not impossible, but it very rarely shows up on scans. I had 8-10 ultrasounds & 2 CT scans that picked up nothing, and it turned out I have stage 4 x
