Poo
Whats the rules on baby pooing?? My LO is just over 4 weeks and hasn't pooed in about 30 hours. For his first 3 weeks he was pooing 7/8 times a day but now we are barely getting 1. He's now exclusively breastfed. Google doesn't seem to help as it says can be 24-48 hours but also can be up to a week? We have tried warm baths, tummy massages, body carrying, stretching, gripe water and colief as he is a distressed baby but to no avail. We have also been seeing cranial osteopath but once again no improvement. Just don't want to freak out over nothing...

My health visitor said around 6 weeks breastfed babies can go up to a week without pooing and as long as they have 6-10 wet nappies a day it's not an issue as they're doing a big growth spurt
@oge Possibly but since it’s for baby i’d definitely run it by a doctor first 🥰

My LO will be 6 weeks tomorrow. We’ve been through the trenches with constipation and trapped gas! But honestly ride it out! He’s pooing and passing gas all on his own now. Similar to you we tried everything, however one thing i resulted to in the end was lactulose. I had a section so had some at home. Gave him 2.5ml halfway through his feed and by the evening he’d pooed. It’s not something i did until he’d gone almost 4 days and was super upset. Definitely a last resort and i think you may have to see the doctor to get it but if needs be then do it 🫶🏻🫶🏻
