MUCUS PLUG

I know this isn't a labour indication but curious as to how long after people lost their mucus plug did labour start to progress. Due today. Sweeped 2 days ago. Mucus plug gone today.

I’ll be very honest, I lost my plug about 4 times xx

I lost mine when I was in full blown labour in the pool! I had a tiny bit of a show after my sweep but it was barely noticeable x

So iv been having bits coming away looking similar to a heavier discharged but today it's full blown sticky clumps covering the loo roll. Will see what happens in next few days. With my other 2 this didn't happen first went into labour with no signs at 38 weeks second was induction with 0 signs prior to that either x

@Jenna it was incredible! As soon as I got in I felt instant relief and weightless 🥰 I stayed in it for about 3 hours and loved it just used gas and air, we had lights dimmed and twinkly light projector too 😊 Unfortunately we had to change plan and get out for the actual birth as the midwife was struggling to monitor the baby's heart rate- I didn't mind though as the midwife still fully supported my hypnobirthing and being able to use upright positions and birthing ball etc 💙💙 x

@Jenna it really was all we could have asked for! Considering I was in tears and thinking I'd have to be induced as I had reached 41+2 and the hospital was hugely pressuring me due to my very old age of 41, I thought I wouldn't have the chance so I am over the moon really! X

Lost my plug 3 times this pregnancy and no signs of labour so far, I’m 39+5. With my first I lost it when I was already quite a way into labour

@Natalie I'm so happy for you. At my appointment on Tuesday they tried to book me In provisionally for 27th to start induction but I have refused for now x
