Contractions or no?!!!
I’m a first time mom, I’m 17, I’ve experienced Braxton hicks , I’m 38 weeks but my midwife measured my baby at 40 weeks on Monday. I’ve been loosing my mucus plug over the past week slowly. My water has not broke but it feels like my cramps are getting worse and it hasn’t stopped for a few hours since I got back from my maternity shoot. We walked up and down hills and stairs 😟 . Should I call the emergency number and ask my midwife if I may be having contractions ?

A few hours is a longgg time! They usually say call after an hour, also you are measuring ahead so baby sounds ready
Are you timing them? If you're having them every 5 minutes, they last for a minute each time, for at least one hour. They can definitely be labor. If they come and go and have zero pattern going on, and get farther away from eachother as time passes, it may be Braxton hicks. But if they aren't going away at all, and still don't have a clear pattern. It never hurts to go get checked out. Especially as a FTM.
