1st was 39+5, 2nd was exactly 39 weeks

@Bethan thank you for replying! I’m due to get my date in the next few days and almost 38 weeks atm so interested to know when others had there’s :) x

39 exactly

Booked for 39 weeks but baby could come sooner x

Is it always from 39 or does anyone have experience of it being in the 38th week?

40+2

@Robyn Hello, so I was booked for elective C section at exactly 39 week but my water broke at 38+4 around 3 in the morning, I went to the hospital and I wasn't dilated and it was all fine so they did my C-section at 9 a.m. , I had Omeprazole with me which I took at 7a.m and it was all very smooth. I thought it would be categorized as Emergency but my paperwork says "Elective c-section" and it was such an amazing experience, me any my bubba are doing amazing. If you have any other questions, I am happy to answer ❤️

@Amisha thanks so much! And congratulations ☺️

38+1

Week 38 this time. I was booked for week 39 with baby 1 and she came 10 days early. No chances this time.

39+2 initially, then few days before they called to say I had been bumped up to 39+0, and it was a Saturday which I didn’t even know they did.

Mine was booked for 38 weeks on the dot x

40+4 they had no slots lol xx

Didn’t even get my date and it ended up emergency at 39 weeks + 2 because I went into labour

My first was 39+3 and this time I’ll be 39+1 because my 39th week is the week of Christmas and they don’t want to risk me going into labour naturally and the fact I’ll be 39+3 on Christmas Day

@Amisha hey this is what I'm hoping for as I wasn't keen on the date of my section . But I suppose babies will come when they do x x

My hospital only book them In for 2 days out of the week, the day I was exactly 39 was fully booked so booked me in for the next day they do it, which is 3 days later x

When mine was booked for 40+2, it was booked purely as maternal request. But since then- at a growth scan at 38 weeks- we found baby has turned breech so are waiting to see if they will bring the date forward given breech babies should be born before due date

39+5, but that was when junior doctors were on strike so they were only doing electives on certain days x

I was booked in for 39wks on the dot

I would imagine they would try and get it as close to your due date as possible. I had one at 37 weeks but for twins and because they were breech so it was booked like a month before. They did say though they would have it at 37 weeks or the week of 37 weeks so I imagine same with elective singletons. They'll aim for as close as they can based on availability.

38+6

Just looked at ur location. I wouldn’t opt for a csection in Medway hospital go to another one. Mine was horrific due to them being so understaffed. I was on my own for 24 hours of labour even though mine was meant to be an emergency and then I was in hospital for 5 days where I constantly asked them for my pain meds and they kept missing it to the point I couldn’t get my legs into bed and then I bought my own paracetamol which they told me off for and brought the doctor round to tell me off for it … but the doctor was never there when I wanted my daughters bloods back. They first “lost” her bloods extending our stay in hospital by 2 days. And then they said the bloods have come back “wrong?” So they took her bloods 3 times. Not all their faults but they are horrifically understaffed. Darenth valley will be better for a csection.

39+6, they wanted to get him out before 40 weeks but didn’t have any slots available earlier 😅

39. But end up having it at 37+3 because she stopped growing.

41, wanted a chance at VBAC

@Tabitha her location says Maidstone so more likely Pembury and I’ve also heard people have terrible experiences with Medway

I'm still waiting on y date for pembury due 22nd of November have GD hoping its gonna be close to 38 weeks

@Sarah they booked mine at 36 week antenatal appointment

@Katie I'm really hoping they do this next week I'm so uncomfortable she's gonna be a big baby she's also the wrong way but she doesn't stop moving someday I worry she has no room

@Sarah my due date is 3rd Nov at Pembury and still waiting for a date. Also have suspected pre eclampsia so hoping that if that’s the case they’ll get me in sooner rather than later!

@Tabitha wow I’m so sorry you had such an awful experience- have you complained?! Can’t believe how awfully they treated you! We’re due to have our baby at Pembury (same as my son) although we had our fair share of disasters with his birth too tbh (but not as bad as your experience!) currently in hospital now with lots of potential complications so hoping they let me have baby sooner rather than later! 🤞🏼 x

@Charlotte they should have given you a date by now unless your already in hospital they will monitor and assess. They say 11-18 days before due date xxx

@Sarah I’ve just been readmitted as they think my waters might have gone but can’t determine for definite plus contractions. Now might have pre-eclampsia too! But they said if contractions stop and I don’t have pre-eclampsia then I’ll get my date by Monday. So frustrating x

@Katie ah I didn’t even know there was another

@Charlotte I think there’s something you can look online to see if they’re understaffed. Tbh they have a hard job and are running back and forth as is so when they’re severely understaffed it does make it hard. Just wish I knew beforehand I would of gone elsewhere

@Tabitha to be fair it’s about 45 mins from Maidstone so Medway will actually be closer to I think most people in Maidstone but it’s “Maidstone and Tunbridge wells NHS trust” and as Maidstone only has the birth centre now, if you need a hospital delivery, pembury is the default

My first was 37+2 and my second was 37+1
