Planned c-section date so close to EDD

If you go into labour they'll just get you in as an "emergency" c section on the day. Nothing to worry about 😊

I had an emergency last time and my planned one this time is 5 days before my EDD (must be in week 39). If labour starts early, they can give you an injection to stop contractions and then do another emergency x

Same they pencilled me in for 24/25 but when it came to booking they had 30th I’m due 2/11 🙄

Yeh it’s normal they usually book it for whichever days they do electives in the 39th week so ends up being close to due date, I guess it’s to stop people just picking it to have the baby early, you won’t have him naturally they’ll just do the c section as normal on the day your waters go/having regular contractions xx

Wow they are cutting it fine. But like @Charley said they should just do you as an "emergency" if you do happen to go into labour beforehand.

This has happened to me so ive asked to be 39 weeks exact xx I went into labour with my son at 38 5

My last baby was breech and my waters broke before my section You just call the hospital and tell them and they'll get you in ASAP.

If you go into labour naturally they will do a emergency section. I'm also 4 days before my due date and I asked same thing 😀

I am having the same panic too. My section is booked on week 39 and growth scan is showing 2 weeks ahead. I was told that they won’t change the date, unless ‘there is medical reason’.
