C-section post traumatic birth

Hi, We’re contemplating our 4th baby, my 3 previous births have been quite traumatic. I’ve haemorrhage for 2 of them and my last birth I lost over 2L due to retained placenta, I had to be put to sleep and given 2 blood transfusions. Just wanted to hear if other have had a positive C-Section post a traumatic birth? I just want to be safe 🥹

My last was an elective c section after 2 natural. It was personally for me a very positive experience. I can't speak for everybody but it was for me and currently pregnant now which is also to be a planned c section x

I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had poor care with previous births, I hope you are okay now 💜 I’ve only had a Caesarian and I’m having one for baby 2 too. I had Zero trauma, it was very calm and happy. Lost only 300ml of blood, needed no intervention or special care afterwards. Baby out in 10 mins, the radio on, lots of laughter, camera rolling, baby was safe and not stressed or hurt, I was safe and looked after. I was up and walking to the shower in a few hours, public transport home and at Costco 2 days after discharge. I cannot fault it at all and I recovered really well. I definitely would recommend it if someone has experienced trauma as it’s day and night to those stories xx

@Stephanie Out of interest, are you choosing a planned c-section because it was a better experience than your natural births? Please don’t answer if you don’t want to ☺️

@Sarah thankyou 💗 My recovery post birth has always been difficult, as I give birth and then require surgery, therefore, I’ve never had a normal straight forward birth. I felt horrendous after my second and couldn’t even walk up the stairs without being out of breathe and having palpitations 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just want to know I’m safe, that’s all. 🥲 xx

Yes 1 of mine was traumatic so I chose my last one as c section n this one will also be a planned c section xx
