Sex a week after C section

There’s essentially an open wound in your cervix, having sex puts u at the risk for infection

If you ruin your surgeons work you can damage your muscles and your core, mess up that scar, do more damage than it’s worth internally as well as externally.

GOOGLE says the wound closes within the first 3 weeks so i went based off that and had sex right at the 3 week marker and im 2 months pp i had my 6w check up and everything was fine

I put yes but I actually waited 4 but had a very good recovery

U can get an infection in ur uterus. Infections can kill u. Could also cause hemorrhaging meaning u lose a ton of blood which also can kill u. It’s even worse if u had a c section cuz u have additional risk of opening the incision or getting a hernia. No dick is worth it

I mean, sure, unless you don't care about the risk of infection and want to chance a hospital visit while caring for a newborn 🤷🏻‍♀️

You don’t have to, it’s ultimately your decision but you should weigh up the risks. Which are serious infection and uterine rupture.

We had sex at 2 weeks pp. Just went gently and used a condom

Your placenta leaves a dinner plate sized wound in your uterus no matter of you give birth vaginally or through c section so definitely wait the 6 weeks to prevent infection

Just because the bleeding stopped, it doesn’t mean the wound is fully healed. Your pelvic floor also need to heal. Just be patient.

I’m just shocked that you would want to have sex 1 week after a csection. I was still wobbling around the house in pain 1 week pp. Sex was the furthest from my mind 😂😭😭

I put no because I thought the question was “sex after 1 week” so I said no, don’t do it before the 6 weeks.

Yes 100% wait. You have a huge wound In your uterus and on the outside. You need at least 6 weeks to heal. You might feel good but you could be in so much pain and get an infection and potentially get pregnant again. It’s not worth it

We tried at 3 & 4 & 5 weeks post c-section, it was extremely painful! I would say once we got to the 8 week mark I couldn’t feel any pain! X

Its whenever you are comfortable. But PLEASE be sure to pee after and dont cjm inside to limit the risk of infections (i had sex around week 3)
