A friend used Midwives Brew for both her babies and, within 12 hours, was in labor. I would talk to your doctor about it first. Good luck to you. šŸ¤

@Abigayle thank you!!

Midwives brew put me into labor my last pregnancy. I drank it around 11am had a bloody show around 1 and contractions started around 5 so Iā€™d say it worked but I was also just 40 weeks along.

@Olyvia did it make you nauseous or anything?

Personally it didnā€™t make me nauseous it helped to just take biggg sips in a short amount of time. My sister has also done the midwives brew and although it did put her into labor it hurt her stomach she had to go to the bathroom several times and didnā€™t end up finishing the drink. I think it depends on the other ingredients to coat the caster oil in the drink and the sensitivity of your stomach. Here is the recipe I followed I did substitute the juice with different organic juice and the lemon verbena tea with raspberry leaf tea

@Olyvia okay thank you! Iā€™ll be seeing my OB tomorrow and hopefully Iā€™ll get the clear. Iā€™m ready for this baby! lol

Iā€™m 39+6 and Iā€™ve been doing raspberry leaf tea, pineapple, dates, curb walking, sex, spicy food, yoga you name it all the things that ā€œinduceā€ labor for what feels like a lifetime now and I still have no sign of babyā€¦.. you can try these different ā€œhacksā€ but I think at the end of the day baby is gonna come when baby is ready whether you like it or not šŸ˜‚

@Kat I actually just made the midwives brew and am currently drinking it! So letā€™s see if this helps!

Both of my labors I had a membrane sweep and got out for a long walk and curb walking and they were born less than 48 hours from the sweep

@S was the membrane sweep painful?

@Kat same here. Nothing seems to work, but I havenā€™t tried the midwives brew. Doesnā€™t seem too appealing to even try))

@Brooke I honestly havenā€™t thought its painful, kind of uncomfortable but not bad. I think majority of people think itā€™s the worst though šŸ˜¬ but itā€™s really quick!!

Castor oil works but if can give you loose stools and sometimes the contractions donā€™t actually start labor but feel like they are! I tried it a few times and every time I got contractions for 12+ hours after within 5 hours of taking it, but then they would stop.
