Amniotic fluid leaking?
Has anyone experienced what they think is amniotic fluid leaking?
I’m at l&d right now because I thought I felt a gush of water earlier. They did a swab and it came back negative.
They then did an ultrasound and my AFI was 9.1 but three days ago it was 12.9. Doesn’t that mean I’m leaking?
I’ve been here waiting for hours now and no one is giving me answers 🤦🏻♀️

My AFI has ranged from 7.6 to 14.7 randomly back and forth for the last 5 weeks it's not a perfect thing g to measure because baby moves around alot making it somewhat difficult to get a completely accurate measurement
I peaked with my first and the swab came back positive. Your fluid levels can change without your waters leaking. My guess is it was just a gosh of pee or discharge
Fluid levels change based on baby’s position. Mine is anywhere between 8.5 - 14.5 depending on the day.

Everytime I’ve gone in for my water breaking the swab has been positive. I’ve never leaked with a negative swab. Amniotic fluid levels will lower as the trimester carries on but I don’t know if that is a normal amount or what the causes are. I hope you get some answers soon though!
