Stocking up

I'm due to have a c section, this will be my second c section so I'm aware recovery may take some time plus with having a toddler and newborn to look after on my own after my partner's paternity leave ends and with no close family living nearby. I've decided to stock up on the following: Size 1 - 3 nappies Baby wipes Formula Good idea or no? Anyone else doing the same?

I have done the same, plenty of wipes and nappies but hoping to breastfeed for the first few weeks at least. I had an unplanned csection last time and hadn’t stocked up on anything so found it added so much more stress. Trying to feel more prepared this time x

I'm doing the same as I'm gonna be alone with baby. I'm guessing not gonna go out for 1, 2 weeks ouside due to pain, but we'll see. I started gathering nappies and wet wipes a while ago. I have size 1 + 2. They will last me for few weeks. I bought formula and bottles, but gonna try breastfeeding at the beginning and I'll see how it goes. What I'm gonna focus soon is cooking for freezer so for postpartum. For myself. As that's whst I've seen other Mums online are doing. I'll in pain after c section not gonna stand in the kitchen to cook just take from freezer and reheat.

Oh yes I've heard batch cooking meals and freezing them is a life saver during postpartum.

Absolutely good idea but don’t forget to stock up for yourself and toddler aswell! Lots of snacks, toilet roll, medicine, things to do etc so you can really hunker down and not forget any essentials x

I stocked up on formula before mine came and turned out she couldn't have dairy, that was my only regret as far as stocking up goes. Also, I stock up on clothes for those random growth spurts, I've got bags of 3 - 6, 6 - 9 etc up to 12 months x

@Rhiannon oh yes can't forget these, thanks for the reminder.

@Natalie that's a valid point, fingers crossed mine takes to it fine like my first but if not I'll donate it to local Mum's as the brand I'm going with is like gold dust at the moment. Clothes wise I'm having another boy so I've got clothes in every size from his brother, some have not even been worn so that's handy.
