How to get to hospital

I’m due in mid Dec and live about a 20 minute walk from Lewisham hospital. Does anyone have suggestions as to how we can get there when the time comes? I’m assuming my usual options of walking, cycling and public transport will be out! I’ve also heard Ubers can be a bit unsure about taking someone in labor? Thanks!

I took an Uber when my waters broke, I just put thick pads on about 3 of them

This is a good question😅 I live about a 10 minute walk from Lewisham hospital. I think a Uber would be the only option. I’ve heard that they can be a little apprehensive but someone will take you! My sister got an Uber when she went into labor.

Get range for of taxi numbers. Plus a friend with a car on standby (if they pick up).

We took Uber both times, not an issue. Just make sure you go to the side entrance to maternity. Save yourself some walking!
