Confirmed thrush
Hello,
My swab came back positive for thrush today and I am 39+5. Hubby just left to pick up the pessaries. Worried that I won’t have enough time to get it over with before the labour, will my midwife add this to my notes so the hospital will know if I deliver before it’s cleared?
Has anyone had labour with thrush and the baby didn’t catch it? Thank you

A lot of babies get thrush anyway, it’s not something to be worried about and can be fixed quite easily so I wouldn’t worry

@Zeynep I’ve had thrush throughout my pregnancy I’m due same as you, had a midwife app Monday saying I have white cells which means it may be coming back for me. I was told there’s no point in continuously taking it this far into the pregnancy unless it was going to be an issue or cause major infection… I’ve constantly had it come back and the pessaries never worked for longer than a week or so. Even if you pass it onto baby during birth it can easily be cleared and you can go back to a normal routine of pessaries without having to worry about baby.

I had it but it cleared in time. But my midwife said it isn't a big deal if baby gets it.
