Pre-op

Hi, I’m due to have c section pre op this week, what do they do please? Just want to know what to expect. Thanks

Following, c section isn’t for another 9 weeks but I wanna be prepared!

So it’s not a long appointment at all. It’s last bloods and urines, hospital swabs (nhs trust dependent), prescription for your omeprazole (for tummy acid) and when to take it, instructions for your arrival and what they need from you and any last minute questions. On the day you’ll meet you anaesthetist and obstetrician before hand and get all the details on how the day will go too xx

Mine went the same as Sarah said above. They also gave me two glucose drinks to have and instructed me on when to drink them! X

In the US my experience with both my planned csections was just a blood draw. I didn't need my anesthesiologist either time until the day of my section.
