Mucus Plug to Labour timeline?!…..

Hey lovelies, I am pretty sure that my mucus plug is coming away 😳 2 days ago I felt like I had an extra trickle after peeing, but couldn’t be sure that it was waters. This was companies by very regular and intense Braxton Hicks through the night. Today, almost certain that my ‘plug’ is coming away…. Has anyone else experienced a more ‘gradual’ loss of their MP? And how long after this beginning did you go into labour? I am super excited to meet my baby boy, but I am also terrified of labouring because I am a giant fanny when comes to abdominal pain!

I lost my mucus plug on Thursday afternoon but no signs of labour yet! 🤞🏼

I’ve been losing mine gradually for a week now had the most amount wise today and been having really irregular contractions all week no sign of anything further yet just going through it at home til My water go or contractions get closer together and more frequent

What colour is the mucus plug while we’re on the subject here? I’ve been wearing a pad for two weeks now with dishcharge changes and feeling wet all the time. I’ve been having intense Braxton hicks too but no progression on any front xx

I lost mine 2 weeks ago and then the other day...lost it twice now and nothings happened 😂

Mine started off yellow clear went dark brown and has stayed a brown hue since

My midwife said to me that unless you have a ‘bloody show’ which is the end of your mucus plug, it basically doesn’t mean anything! The actual clear mucus plug can just regrow again, it’s more the bloody show which is a sign of labour apparently x

@Scarlet yup this is true ! I went into labour the next morning after my bloody show came out the night before . Woke up and my waters broke … second time round my mucous plug is clear and it’s been coming out gradually over the last week

I didn’t realise your clear mucus plug can just keep growing back until my midwife explained it all! Probably the only time in pregnancy we’re all praying for blood, which is the weirdest thing to say! X

@Scarlet it’s like another one of pregnancies sick jokes haha…. “Here’s your plug, but I’m going to make another one” ….. I don’t see why anyone bothered writing pregnancy books, it seems to make it up as it goes along haha! I guess being a control freak and super impatient isn’t helping me… i long for a step by step set of instructions haha

@Shellz this has made me laugh so much, this is all the stuff you are NEVER told about and you’re meant to just be totally fine with it - no hun, I am OVERRRRR your games now, I’ve done enough!!!!

@Jodie looks like snot is the only way I can describe it. Can have some blood in it too

@Caitlin it can rejuvenate

I’ve been losing my mucus plug for weeks, like since 28 weeks (I’m 35+4 now) small bits every now and then.. it’s regrows so doesn’t mean labour is happening soon unfortunately x
