Developmental delay

My son has been in speech therapy for a little while now in the birth to 3 program with early intervention… he just got evaluated for the 3-5 program with the school district and got an IEP due to his delayed speech. They also noted that he doesn’t make a lot of eye contact and doesn’t respond to his name very much without a gesture… I know that those are also signs of autism but could also be other things. Anyone here have any insight or dealt with something similar? It’s hard not to worry, and I feel like we’re doing everything we can and it gets frustrating

Not responding to name is a huge sign of autism, I noticed it with my daughter, but there is also other symptoms to look for such as not pointing to show you what he is interested in, not playing with his peers, not holding eye contact longer than 2 minutes, picky eater and many more, idk if you have helpmegrow in your state, but they will come and assess your child and will let you know what to do moving forward. Hope that helped and sending lots of prayers your way. Stay strong mama
