Premature labor?

Not sure what to do.. Starting yesterday my underwear was wet all day with clear fluid that smelled very salty like semen - google says it could be amniotic fluid - however I’m only at 28 weeks as of tomorrow. I haven’t really felt any discomfort or pain for most of my pregnancy tbh it’s been fairly easier than I expected even when it comes to baby kicking I barely feel anything ever.. anyways my next OB appt is Friday.. should I wait it out and ask at my appointment or go to the ER now about the fluid as I don’t really feel like I’m in labor but it’s my first so I’m not sure what to expect at all, anyone experienced this?

Idk because I just turned 27 weeks myself but you should go to the hospital

I would either call your OB and go there or go to the ER. Better to be safe than sorry. I’ve never had fluid like that during my first pregnancy. Some here and there but nothing like all day long.

Did you recently have sex? Because it very well could be semen, but if you are worried you can always call labor and delivery and ask what they think you should do and they shouldn’t judge you or make you feel bad they are there to help you and if they have you come in and it turns out to not be serious than that’s better than not doing anything and it actually turning out to be something serious 🫶

Call the OB or go to the hospital.

I'd go to the hospital, they have a swab test they can do to see if you are leaking fluid.

i would go to the hospital. i’m 26 weeks and have been in the hospital since wednesday. i’m 4cm dilated and had no pain or discomfort. better to be safe ❤️

It could be just discharge but better to confirm with your OB. @Daesha oh no! How long ypu need to be in hospital? How did you know you were dilated?

@Yesha i was experiencing discharge and when they went to swab & look they noticed i was dilated. and not sure how long ill be at the hospital for

@Daesha oh I’m so sorry and keeping you in my thoughts. I was 4cm dilated as well this past Friday and was told I will be here the remainder of the pregnancy. Sending well wishes to you and your precious baby!
