Induction at Kings Mill Hospital

Can anyone on here tell me about their experience being induced at Kings Mill? What methods to they use? How long did it take? Good or bad experience? Also can anyone compare it to a spontaneous Labour was it more painful? I don’t want to be induced but it’s either that or a c section :( TIA X

I was induced last year in June with the pessary at 2.15am with contractions starting at 4.30am and my baby girl being born at 12.27pm the following day. Best birth experience I could have asked for. I wasn’t expecting to be induced I had planned a water birth but I just wanted her out and turned out to be amazing. The staff were so lovely but they really just left me to it. I’d do it again that way. My contractions weren’t bad I didn’t take gas and air until I was on the way to the birthing room at 7cm.

following ab kings mill. induction contractions are more painful then natural (from experience)

I was induced in Kings mill, preclampsia, induced with pessary 4pm start contractions 3.30am the next morning born at 7.25am. Midwifes were great at kings mill

I wasn’t at Kings Mill but was induced with the pessary (uncomfortable but not painful). Inserted at 11am, contracts started 3.30pm, baby born at 9pm. Positive experience in my opinion. Good luck! X
