Northwestern Prentice vs Rush

I'm wondering for those who have delivered at either hospital or both, what their visitors policy is regarding overnights. How strict are they on their guest policy? Do they allow siblings to visit even after hours? Would I be able to have my toddler and husband stay with me until discharge? I have a one year old and am due in January. We both have really bad seperation anxiety from each other and not knowing how my stay will go is really stressing me out. I'd love for my one year old to be able to stay with me during my postpartum stay and be able to visit right after the baby arrives even if it's at night after visiting hours. My last delivery was at Rush and the nurses allowed my mom to stay a few hours after visiting hours. This time I'm going to be delivering at Northwestern Prentice with the midwives so I'm not sure what to expect. All of this anxiety and uncertainty is making me want to just have a home birth so I have a more relaxing and desired outcome for what I want my Birthing and postpartum experience to be like. At Rush everything looked great with me and baby after delivery but they took their sweet time discharging us and we ended up there for 4 days. I really would only like to be there for the required 24 hours and go home. So does anyone have any experience with what I'm struggling with and can give some insight and advice?

I delivered at Northwestern and they are pretty strict with their policy and don’t allow guests after hours. Only my child’s father was allowed to stay with me the entire stay so no children. But my experience with them was amazing tho, felt very well taken care and I was out in 48 hours so I didn’t stay any longer than I needed to. Every nurse I had taking care of me postpartum were wonderful
