Premature labor??

33w3d and having contractions like crazy. Thinning cervix, dr said he’s ok to do my C-section as of 32 weeks, but I don’t wanna do it unless I know baby can come home or of course I have no choice. I’ve had 5 premature births already and just can’t do the NICU again.. What’s the earliest you delivered and baby was able to go home? I was told 34 weeks by a L&D nurse, I gotta be sure.

I had my bub at 34 weeks and wasn’t allowed to go home until 36 weeks at the earliest

It depends on the hospital. At mine the baby has to go to the NICU for monitoring if they are born anytime before 35 weeks. Some hospitals are 34 weeks I think

The hospital I gave birth at this last time said any baby born 35 weeks and above wasn't required a NICU stay unless medically necessary. 34 and below, no matter how they were doing, had to go to the NICU.

36 weeks and we went home 3 days after birth. Had to pass all the nicu tests and then he was cleared. This was 17 years ago though and protocols have likely changed.

Go to the emergency room. Advocate for yourself strongly. I had to premature births 33 weeks

I just had my baby at 34 weeks due to preeclampsia,he’s been in NICU for 4 days and they said another 10 days at the least.. it is very difficult having a NICU baby..
